This new feature, when activated, shows a new "long description" field in the payables transaction entry window. This new field takes up to 200 characters of text, which will be visible in related checks and reports generated from this window.

To turn on this feature, locate the new option called "Enable Long Description in Payables Transaction Entry" in the Payables Setup window (Purchasing > Setup > Payables Management) as shown here:




Once this is checked, the Payables Transaction window will look like this:



The original description field remains, so the new one will only work for new transactions.
